Macanudo Inspirado Brazilian Shade is a limited edition that was released in April 2021. The blend is highlighted by a rare Connecticut Shade wrapper grown in the Bahia region of Brazil. This unique wrapper has the creaminess of Connecticut Shade from the Connecticut Valley but with slightly less bitterness.
This Nicaraguan Puro is full-bodied and moderately priced. Comprised of Ligero and Viso fillers from several different regions of Nicaragua and a beautiful Cuban-seed Ligero Colorado wrapper, the Casa Magna is hand-rolled in Plascencia's Nicaraguan Factory. The result is a smooth, rich, full-bodied cigar with undertones of coffee and sweet spices.
La Aroma de Cuba is handcrafted in Estelí, Nicaragua. A glistening, chocolate-hued Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper is hand-selected to cover a rich assortment of aged Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. This box pressed stick features an oily chocolatey Olancho San Agustin Honduran maduro wrapper that has been carefully aged for 7 years before being applied to a 3-year-old Cameroon binder and a filler made of Mexican San Andres, Nicaraguan Esteli and Condega, and Dominican Piloto Cubano leaves. The La Flor Dominicana 25th Anniversary is a full-strength cigar that is handmade in the Dominican Republic. It sports an oily Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper that covers a Dominican binder and filler. This limited-edition Anniversary cigar delivers notes of sweetness, pepper, and earth.
The La Galera Anemoi is handmade at Jose Blanco’s Tabacalera Palma factory in the Dominican Republic. It is a medium to full-bodied cigar that features a reddish, oily USA Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper draped over a Dominican Republic Corojo binder and a filler made of Dominican Republic, Dominican Piloto 98, and Criollo 98 tobaccos. Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Limited Edition cigars. Based on the Black Market blend, this cigar presents in a barber-pole fashion. It comes in a bright green candela cover leaf against a darker Nicaraguan wrapper from Jalapa Valley. Inside this cigar is Ecuador Sumatra binder, with filler from Panama and Honduras.
CAO Arcana: Mortal Coil Cigars. This bold and bodacious blend features Andullo-aged tobacco, a unique, old-world aging process that's inherited from the Dominican Republic. Last week, Crowned Heads began shipping Mil Días, Spanish for 1,000 days, a new line that is being made by Tabacalera Pichardo. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Peru.
As the story goes, the start of this blend took place in 2017 which is roughly 1,000 days before the cigars are being released.
This is the second Crowned Heads line from the factory, which also makes Juárez for the company. Crowned Heads is the distributor of Tabaclaer Pichardo’s own brand, ACE Prime.
The Las Calaveras Edicion Limitada 2019 cigar is another yearly gem from Crowned Heads that just seems to be getting better with each installment! This 2019 offering is flawlessly hand rolled at the famous My Father Cigar factory in Nicaragua, and provides a bold earthy and spicy sweetness, backed by nuances of chocolate, cinnamon, and cream.
La Historia by E.P. Carrillo received a well-deserved 95-rating noting: "The Perez-Carrillos worked two years on this cigar, and it shows in the final product, which is finished with a luxurious, dark leaf of Mexican tobacco grown in the San Andrés Valley."
This is the third time Padron Family Reserve 45 has been named Cigar Aficionado's Cigar of the Year, an honor that has only existed for six years. The No. 45 is stronger than typical Padróns and is an intense smoke jammed with rich, hearty, coffee notes and a heady amount of spices.
Crowned Heads has a new smoke for the company’s most loyal fans. It’s a limited-edition size of Crowned Heads Court Reserve XVIII, a brand inspired by, and dedicated to, the company’s passionate fanbase. It’s draped in a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadoran binder and filler leaf from Nicaragua.
E.P. Carrillo Encore has received an unrivaled 96-point rating and was named the #1 Cigar of 2018, noting: "It’s elegant, refined and nuanced from first puff to last, but is also the culmination of a long career in tobacco and the result of a man who was never afraid to follow his instincts."
This is the 7th release of the Las Calaveras line, which debuted in 2014 as a tribute to those who have died the previous year, with the intention to be a celebration of life and memories made. There will be only 1,000 boxes of each size released. The blend uses an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers.
